ABLATION FOR SVT

Type your medical question here

My daughter is having this procedure in 3 weeks but she also has scheduled 2 days of  computer classes beginning the day after that procedure.  I think this is a bad idea.  How long can she expect to be off her feet afterward?

I agree. I've had 3 ablations (was in my late 40's, early 50's) and had no trouble with recovery time. I felt a bit groggy recovering from the drugs they gave me and my groin was tender but that was it. Yes, she should take it easy (don't do any marathons) and not lift anything much but taking a class shouldn't be a problem.

Dear Mom... I had an ablation in july of 2010 and didnt have any problems.  Was up and around the same day and walking the next day.  They just said to not do anything strenious or lift anything i think over 10 lbs for a few days.. If she is in good physical condition  and her ablation proceedure goes well she will probably be ok..I was 69 figure your daughter is much younger ... I do figure if she asked the doc hed say wait one day probably.... dunno Claytex
