AI, Angina and LBBB

Hello and thank you for taking my question.
I have been diagnosed with Moderate AI (2+)that has not changed at least in the the last couple years. Recently an ECG showed Left Bundle Branch Block.   It's believed I also suffer from Angina, although that has not been confirmed.  For years I have believed it to be a muscular/skeletal problem.  When I walk my upper chest and back and shoulders will ache but the pain stops as soon as I stop walking.  The pain also occurs during anxiety, emotional stress.   I have a stress test scheduled, but in the meantime my question is how related is AI to Angina and LBBB?  Does it indicate a need for valve replacement sooner than later?

thanks for the post.

Angina if due to the AI is an indication for valve replacement. A stress echo should help give your physicans an idea if the lesion is more severe then appreciated on a regular echo and whether your symptoms are related.

If you have coronary disease causeing your chest pain, it would potentially also be a reason to replace the valve is they were to need to performa a bypass.

The LBBB can be due to a number of factors even apart form the AI. And has no direct impact on the timing of replacement.

I forgot to mention, that the AI appears to be a product of an unknown virus that caused recurrent Pericarditis 18 years ago.  The pericarditis resolved after 3 years.
