WHAT DOES mildly thickened AROTIC VALVE WITH MILD AR MEAN?

have a ques guys... i had a Aortic Valve replacement in 1990 and it needs to be done again so have a qes on the kind of Aortic Valve we have now ..... i know there are two metalic and tissue and tissue is a better option but doc says that the one have tissues valve have to go through replacement after 10 to 15 yrs ..... n the one with metalic have to take med till end but no replacement ..... any suggestion

Mildy thickened valve is usually due arteriosclerosis (thickening and lose of flexibility). Possibly as one ages this is an issue for all vessels as well as some calcification.  

Aortic valve regurgitation (AR) is condition where the valve leaflets do not completely close the valve opening and blood flow back into the left ventricle rather than pumped into circulation with each heartbeat.  Mild is usually not considered medically significant.  Not an usual condition.
