Aberrant right subclavian artery

Hi,
I have recently been diagnosed with aberrant right subclavian artery syndrome. I have asked upper GI, who I first spoke to about my acid reflux etc, to refer me to a vascular surgeon; who I will be seeing soon. I have since then spoken to various cardiothoracic surgeons that I work along side with, who have mentioned the name of a surgeon who has done this procedure once.
I'm feeling quite worried; not only has this proceudre not been carried out on a regular basis, but I am also hypertensive and asthmatic, plus previous surgery has never really gone smoothtly. Has anyone undergone this procedure before? I'd love to know how it went from a patient's perspective; which surgical approach was taken, recovery time etc.

Many thanks.
