Ablation for afib or staying on meds???

So the big question...
My EP said I would be a candidate for an ablation for my lone afib, I hate the meds, they don't work and the side effects are worse then the actual symptoms. Some the of meds, like the Flecinade (Tamocor) sound very risky.        I'm only 55 and in good health with no other heart problems.
Is there there anyone out there who has had an ablation????
Is an ablation worth it???

there are a few people on the 'heart rythm' community that have had it done, by the sounds of it you'd be better off with the ablation because some arrythmia meds are more dangerous than the problem itself, dont mean to scare just being honest

I took the ablation for my VT. There were two spots that needed to be ablated in the right ventricle.  They sound of the drugs was not appealing.
It was worth it.
