Ablation with RBBB

Ablation with RBBB

Repeated EP studies in the lab a decade ago did not locate the point of origin and routinely evoked VFIB.  Techniquess have improved over the years, so I ask:  Is ablation a viable (recommended) remedy for an arrhythmia patient who also has a RBBB?  Does the RBBB make it more difficult to map the precise location of the initiating spot?

happy feet,

Certainly electrophysiology has progressed exponetially in both understanding of arrythmias and the technology and tools used for arrythmia treatments in the last 10 years. I would need to know more of what arrythmias you were treating, but a RBBB shouldn't have significant impact on the mapping of the arthmia. Our electrophysilogy section at Cleveland Clinic is outstanding and would be glad to evaluate you.

good luck
