Abnormal ECG, Inferior Infarct

Abnormal ECG, Inferior Infarct

I am a 59 year old female. I went to the ER 10 months ago with unradiating left chest pain. I had eaten a lot of greasy foods but wanted to make sure it wasn't my heart. I stayed overnight and have a copy of my chart. My troponin 1 was  and my ECG says "inferior infarct, age undetermined, abnormal ecg". A few weeks later, I had an echocardiogram which was normal. I do have high cholesterol and have been on a strict lowfat diet and will get it re-tested soon. I looked at my ECG report and noticed that it said the above and am very frightened. Would the hospital have released me without telling me that I had a possible heart attack or damage at one time? Isn't that what inferior infarct means? Would the echocardiogram stress test have picked this up? I am so confused. Also, is the troponin level something to be worried about? I once had it tested a few years ago and it was <0.03. On the lab sheet it says that normal is 0.00-0.60. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

The troponin would have only picked up an acute ( less then 7 day) old infarct. Any older and the EKG could have shown it and troponins which mark heart damage could remain negative. But you had an echocardiogram which showed no evidence of inferior wall motion abnormality, so if you had an inferior infarct it was either not very large or significant since the echo showed normal functioning.
You could have a nuclear stress test to check for the presence of an infarct and any ischeima as well. If negative this would rule out an infarct in that region probably with greater accuracy than a resting echocardiogram.

It's the same poster as above, I realized I left out my troponin level which was <0.10
