Abnormal EKG, should I worry?

by delosiv, Nov 03, 2009 11:36AM
I'm a healthy 28yr old male (71", 209 lbs), who works out a lot.  Twice a day, 6 days a week, with a balance of weight lifting and cardio work.   I'm not having chest pains or any other sypmtoms.  No family history of heart disease that I know of.  During a routine physical my EKG read:

Vent rate:  81 bpm
PR interval:  160 ms
QRS duration:  92ms
QT/QTc:  332/385 ms
P-R-T axes:  65 44 -6

Normal sinus rythym
ST elevation, consider early repolarization, pericarditis, or injury
ST & T wave abnormality, consider inferior ischemia
Abnormal ECG

Once rushed to the emergency room, blood was drawn and more EKG's were done.  After a few hours the doctor told me I was fine and this can happen in athletes.

Should I worry?

I would follow up with my primary care physician for further testing just to be safe.
