Abnormal EKG

I've had an abnormal EKG. Septal infarct now present. Also I've had a nuclear stress test that says "there is a moderately reduced perfusion defect of moderate size in the anteroapical wall. The defect in the anteroapical segment is fixed. Is this something that should concern me?

Hi there. Im not a doctor but will offer any personal advice i can.
A Septal Infarct can mean  that at some point in the past you have had a heart attack.
Part of the muscle is starved of blood and dies and sometimes there is reduced blood flow to the surrounding area of the heart.

Have you had an Echo? If so what was your EF?
You are a candidate for an angiogram, which will examine the heart, its function levels and your arteries.
You need more tests to fully evaluate all that is going on.

Is your BP ok?
What about your heart size? Is it normal?

Keep us posted.
I know you are having a lot of things to take in & look at right now, but do try to remain positive, trust your cardiologist to get you sorted as best they can. Have you been prescribed any meds yet?
