Abnormal Health Condition

My heart beat increases sometimes to over 100 after taking meals especially heavy meals after empty stomach. This condition continues for an hour  or so and then ends.
I also feel breathlessness.
I can walk 5.5 km in 50 minutes without feeling any problem like chest pain or breahtlessness.

I am experiencing something fairly similar.  Although I wouldn't say I am eating, "heavy meals", mine seems to happen about 2 hrs after I eat.  It lasts for about an hour as you mentioned in your situation.  On Wednesday, it went up to 120 beats per minute and was preceded by a feeling of intense exhaustion.  Do you feel tired when it hits you?  I called by doctor's office and was told to come in the next day.  She said that she wants me to go to the emergency room if it hits 130.  I am wearing a cardiac event monitor for the next 30 days, so hoping it will provide some answers.

It could possibly be something you are eating. I know if I eat anything with MSG in it my heart will beat faster and tend to skip beats. I've learned to read the ingredients on foods to make sure it does not contain certain preservatives and other things that I am sensitive to. I but alot of my foods in the health section because they tend to be free of preservatives and MSG. Sulphites are another one that I have to stay away from. I can't even drink wine because of the Sulphites in it. It makes my heart skip beats.  Well, hope this helps a little......
