Abnormal Heart Beat But No Pain?

What does this mean sometimes it feels as if my heart is going to stop? But there is no pain, sometimes very heavy beats? A lot of skipping beats?

The occassional skipped beat is quite normal. It's like the heart does this to rectify a rhythm problem. I have one probably every few days, that I know of but there could be more which I haven't realised. I feel one long hard beat, then a delay, then about 4-5 fast beats and back to normal. No pain, just a bit of anxiety when you think "what the heck was that".
If you have lots of these, then speak to your Doctor who may want you to wear a holter monitor for a day or so. This will catalogue your heart rhythm for analysis.

Heart palpitation symptoms are what you are experiencing.  It includes: ■Skipped heartbeats, ■Fluttering heartbeats, ■Heartbeats that are too fast and ■Heartbeats that are pumping harder than usual.

If you're concerned about your heart palpitations, consult your doctor. (S)he or she may suggest heart monitoring tests to see if your palpitations are caused by a more serious heart problem.

If your palpitations are associated with ■Dizziness■Shortness of breath■Chest discomfort or pain■Fainting... consult your doctor as there may be a serious underlying cause.
