Hello...I am a 30 yr female with ashma. I was getting real bad chest pains and shortness of breath that I assumed was my ashma but I went to the dr. about 2 wks ago to make sure and she ordered an EKG. It came back abnormal so than today I had a stress test on a treadmill. My father had a blockage at age 32 and triple bypass at 44 and I also lost both of my grandfathers when they were in their 40's. I have been on blood pressure med's since I was 18 even before the extra 15 lbs of weight that I'm trying to get off~!. Anyways, the stress test today has me confused and I wish I would of got more of the readings so I will try my best to explain. The dr. said that two of my waves look good but on one of the waves the pattern is going down instead of up. He said it is doing that in both the resting EKG and stress EKG, which I had another resting EKG today as well which came back abnormal. He said it maybe of no concern because I got through the test just fine and all three waves are not abnormal. But he is sending it to his cardioligist to look at. What could cause this and if its not suppose to be this way shouldnt they do further testing? I had an EKG in 2001 and it was normal...with my family history I just dont want to take any chances. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
