Accidentally Took Beta Blockers!

About 8 days ago, I started taking Lexapro for anxiety...

Unfortunately, my dad takes a beta blocker (Metroprolol) for some sort of heart problem. The two medications look almost identical, and they're in the same medicine cabinet.

Tonight, I accidently grabbed my dads pill bottle and got a quick glimpse of the label, and realized they weren't my pills, but I had taken one the night before and maybe more.

I counted my Lexapro pills, and 5 out of the 30 were missing, meaning that I've taken at least 3 of my dads beta blockers this week.

It's now been at least 24 hours since the last time I took one, I don't feel any different or sick. But I read online that starting and suddenly stopping certain beta blockers could cause trouble. Should I be concerned?

Agree with Ed, but your dad needs to make sure he doesn't run out of Metoprolol three days early.  Also, and forgive me for stating the obvious, but you might need to consider keeping your medication in a different place than your dad does his, so you can rest assured this isn't going to happen again.  Otherwise, I think you can move on and forget about it.
