Action to take

On Sept. 2, the technician told me my battery was good for 3 plus one month and scheduled me for another test in one month.  On Oct. 18 he told me it was now good for 2 plus one month and told me to make an appointment for one month.  The gal making the appointments said the technician had no say as to when my battery should be rechecked - that the doctor wanted it in 3 months.  She gave me an appt. for Feb. 14, 2011.  When I told her I might be dead by then; she said she would talk to the doctor and call me.  She did call me a couple of hours later to tell me she had not been able to talk to the doctor but would call me the next day.  Waited one week and received no call.  I called them and was given an appt. for Nov. 29th.  I am 100% pacemaker dependent.  On my next visit, should I ask them to give me an appointment for a replacement if they just want to schedule me for another check?  I have had no problems with my pacemaker.  Recently, however, my vision has periods when it is more dim than it is at others.  When I first received it in Nov. 2000, my vision had been the first thing to go before I passed out.  Nothing had been wrong with me before this -  that I knew about, anyway.   No one has told me that there was anything wrong with my heart other than that it's own pacemaker does not work.  Would I be out of line to ask them for a pacemaker replacement instead of just having more checks?

I have only recently joined the forums and don't know how to use them.  I finally found the question regarding pacemaker replacements that I left on Nov. 9th.  Don't really know how I finally found it, but so far I have found no answers to it.  Is there some place that explains how to access and use your forums and get answers.  Are we notified when we have an answer and told where to go to get it?

>>>>You can reactivate the Nov. post, with a sentence in the comment section. I have viewed your health history you have listed with your profile information.  If you have any questions related to any of those problems you can find the appropriate forum by clicking on forums at the top of the page.

Thanks for your questions and if you have any further questions  you are welcome to respond.  Reading your post, I'm not sure what is the heart problem if any?  Hope this helps.  Take care.
