Acute Stroke after lifting weights(PFO)

Has anyone had success with getting the PFO patch?  My Husband was lifting weights one night and had a stroke in his sleep.  The Cardiologist said that certain exercises affect the blood flow ie.. Jumping Jacks & Weight lifting.  I guess he stick with walking daily.  Let me know.

This discussion is related to closure of Patent foreman ovale/ running and lifting weights.

A right to left shunt (blood that should go to the lungs goes to the oxygenated left side) will or can contaminate systemic blood supply...would require a patch.  If it is a left to right, oxygenated blood would be recycled to the lungs and no problems...aspirin recommended to safequard againt clots).
