And that it is not due to my diet it is family history, Also have maglignat HP along with anemia. After all of this I have almost contiual chest pains and now arrythimias that have gone from V-Tach to Bradcardic and back, PVC and the last hospitalzation was told my heart is pausing, I am on Teakturna 300mg, Toprol Xl 75mg 2x's daily, norvasc 10mg 2x's daily, aldactone 50mg 2x's daily, Plavix 75mg, Asprin 325mg, crestor 10mg, nitro prn, Imdur 60mg 2x's daily, & kapidex. This is the usual case when people with coronary artery spams start to get stenting performed. Sometimes it is difficult not to stent said lesions, but more likely than not the process is diffuse and will recur at another location, so that patients usually will get many stents. Instead you need calcium channel blockers, and long acting nitrates.

I wanted to wait for the CCF doctor to respond, but my opinion is that dropping 10 stents in someone is criminal.  Seek a good malpractice attorney.  Stenting probably has it's place in the world, but I think that it should be practiced with extreme restraint.

When they saw that you had diffuse corornary artery disease they should have given you a chance to study the situation and make an informed decision.  You have a chronic inflammatory disease.  You need to address the root causes with the proper treatment.  My 18 year old dog has a chronice inflammatory disease in her ear canal.  I don't stent it, I treat it with antibiotics and a topical cream.

Stenting did not address the root cause of your disease.  Perhaps you need agressive lipid therapy and I good strong round of antibiotics might not be a bad idea.  Perhaps there are other root causes, but you need to find the true root cause and treat it.

These guys make a lot of money running people through their cath labs and bypass surgery centers, but you are left with 10 pieces of steel in your arteries.  That was a very foolish thing to do if there were truly interested in your long term health and survival.

Best wishes and I'm sorry if I upset you, but I really have done the dance with these guys over the years.

We have a friend who has 14 stents so far. He is in his early 70"s ad had by-pass years ago.He did not have all the stents at one time. His chol is very low, his b/p fine so I have no idea what causes the blockage. He has mdicated stents and is on Plavix.

Please excuse my ignorance, coronary artery spasms are cause by lesions? and what type?  And yes I am taking norvasc and Imdur.  Which don't seem to control the chest pains which seem to always happen when I try to rest especially at late night they do occur at other times also at rest and forget any activity. Are there any other treatments available. Thank You so much for your time.

Please excuse my spelling.  My typing seems to be atrocious and they don't have spell check.

Also I am 49 year old female. I am sorry to ramble but need to know if there might be some other alternative to repeat stenting, and if the continual chest pain is normal I have been told that I'll have to learn to live with it.

I meant to say that I had not had these problems with the heart prior to 13 months ago
