Almost blacked out right now

I'm 35 years old and from time to time something weird happens to me.  I get a sudden shortness of breath, followed by numbness in my arms, neck and face, sometimes I feel my face getting hot too, followed by heart palpitations and sometimes I get dizzy and almost black out.  It happened just now.   Somtimes I can feel when it comes on and can stop it from happening, but sometimes it happens so fast that there nothing I can do.  I lay down and take deep breaths until the palpitations stop.  What could this be?  I saw a doctor about this last year and she told me anxiety could be a factor, but I'm not anxious at all.  I wasn't doing anything that would stress me out or make me anxious at the time that it happend.  I'm confused.

If you haven't, you should ask about a tilt table test as well as the blood work; TTT will rule out things to do with the autonomic nervous system (ANS) such as blood pressure drops that may cause some of these symptoms

Did your doctor  check you for low potassium? Are you taking a diurectic or BP medication? It is not possible to diagnose a problem on a forum.  Your doctor has or should have your health history, tests, medication, etc.  If the current doctor is unable to determine the underlying cause, you may want to see neurologist.
