Alternative to defibrillator

Alternative to defibrillator

I was recently told that my heart is not pumping as it should.  Further that the physician said that I should have a defibrillator implanted.  If I start moderately and then build up gradually with excercises, will that help my heart to get better?  I am currently taking Beta Blockers and water pills.  Thank you.

If your doctor suggested a defibrillator, then a defibrillator is what you should have. Think of it as a safety net.  If for some reason your heart were to stop, it would help your heart to beat again.  The electrical system of the heart sometimes stops working and a defibrillator is needed.  As far as exercise, exercise is good for the heart muscle.  Exercise will not help the electrical system of your heart.
