Angina and weight

Would gaining weight have any effect on stable Angina? I have gained quite bit of weight ( about 1.25 stones )  in the last few months and just recently noticed I am having signs of Angina more often then I used to.

Just wondering is it weight gain or behind this or something else going on here?

For sure this does not help!!!

On every step your muscles need extra blood to move the extra weight...

And there is the estimation that on every Kgr. of human flesh there are 1 KM of blood vessels ... so your heart has now to make an extra effort to pump your blood all that extra length.

The added weight means your heart is having to work harder to compensate. Yes that can be one reason for the increase in angina.  When was your last doctor visit? Have you been advised to lose weight and exercise?  Ally
