Angina or gastrointestinal

Hello,
I hope you can help. My brother in law is 42 & diabetic and was having chest pains ,had 2 caths , angioplasty
with a stent this past April. The vessel that the stent was put in was so tiny they were not
sure they had one small enough. The Dr. said that he would be better if it totaly
blocked because it is such a small vessel. Because of continuing angina he had another cath done
cath. It showed that in 2 months, the stent,  is blocked 70%. Vasospasm is
what they think is causing the angina now as they did before the stent. The angina has
gotten so bad that in the last 6 days he has had to take over 50 nitros. He is also on all
typical heart meds. Yesterday he went to see his Dr ,and although through it
all, they say other than this tiny vessel his heart is in great shape no damage or is in any
danger of anything life threating ,it has the Dr's baffled as to why he is having so much
angina,  These episoides  seem to come on after mild excertion ,after
he  eats and is sleeping. Now they are going to do a upper GI series to see if it is related
to something other than the heart, and not angina at all. I could go on about what did
not happen in April. My question is what could mimic these symptoms other than what he has been treated for? Thank you so much for being there.
