Angina or indigestion

Angina or indigestion

Whenever I train I get these flutters in my chest. They only come on when I'm trying to "get over a sigh" then straight after the flutter I get this urge to belch and sometimes get the feeling of heartburn and sometimes regurgitate stomach acid. I never get out of breath (except through normal exercise), never feel dizzy or sick etc...and feel I'm fit for my age (30 yo male 215 lbs).
This only seems to come on during stationary cycling of which I do about 40 miles a week.
My main sport is swimming where I put in about 10000meters a week with hardly any symptons of fluttering etc....
I am overweight but a lot of it is muscle. The very nature of open water swimming in Wales means that you need some blubber just to survive the icy waters!!!!!.
Could you please give me your opinion on what may be causing this. It seems the harder I go on my bike the worst it gets and is sometimes coupled with a tightness in my neck.
thnaks for your time

From the symptoms alone, it is not possible to differentiate whether this is angina or indigestion; physical exertion can make either condition worse. In a statistical sense, your age makes it more likely to be indigestion. However, I would suggest getting evaluated by your doctor to make sure.
