Angiogram /Angioplasty

At what percentage of blockage in the arteries is an angoiplasty usually performed?  If you have 30% blockage in one artery and 80% blockage in another and are a male of 81yrs would you be a candidate for an angoiplasty or do you just lead a normal life with changes to your diet and or oral medication?

I think they do something (angioplasty, stents, bypass, etc.) when the blockage reaches 70%.

Does it make sense if it is the small aterery left of the heart with the 80% blockage that they wouldn't try to unblock it because they are worried the patient might suffer a heart attack on the table during the procedure.  Is being on the medication cummin a good preventive medicine for this?

Thx for the help

Well, the old heart attack on the table is always a possibility.  But if you're gonna have one that would probably be a good place to do it.  I think you're saying coumadin........?  I don't think that would be used in your situation.  More likely something like plavix and aspirin.  To thin the blood just a little bit and prevent clots from forming.

If it was me, and I was having no symptoms, I'd likely just go on about my business.
