My doctor has just given me some good news. He told me that after
about six weeks, I won't have to take the Metoprolol beta blocker
anymore because the area of the stents will have endothelial cells
growing over the stents, and will no longer be subject to damage.

Dear George,
Thank you for sharing your good news - we all need to hear that from time to time. It is true that stents "endotheliaze" that is have cells grow over them after several weeks and this will often change the medication one is receiving (i.e. antiplatelet drugs - aspirin, plavix, ticlid, etc.)
