Answer for SVT ablation

This is not a question, but something I have to say. I had a catheter ablation for SVT a year ago, and I have to tell anyone who may have the same condition that I had, that it is the best thing I have ever done for myself. It is amazing to think that we live in an age where such a simple procedure can have such amazing results. I feel free for the first time since I was 14 ( I am now 32.) I am SVT free!   If you are considering an ablation, all I can say is, I am so happy that I went ahead with mine.  x  Malissa x

Great to hear some good feedback on this topic.  I also had Ablation done in 2007 to cure PSVT and have never had any problems afterwards.  I feel bad for people that have to live with this as it is a terrible feeling and causes so much havoc when it happens.

All I can say is to go to a VERY GOOD Electrophysiologist to get it done!  DO NOT just go to any Cardiologist as they are not specialists in the electric part of the heart and if they do it wrong, you may end up with a Pacemaker or something!

But definitely is a very good option.  Not so bad:  just like having Angiogram in stereo as they go through each artery in your groin.

I'm glad that yours went well too. I still can't believe it sometimes, that it's gone and that I feel 100 times better. I actually don't think about it now. It used to be  an awful feeling when the SVT started and then stayed.  I am so, so  grateful to Dr Waktare and his lovely team in Liverpool. They are fab!!! xxx
