Anterior LV Segment

Stress Test Normal. Note included is irregular decrease along the anterior LV segment in a pattern suggesting breast attenuation artifact.  What does this mean?

Dear klm,
Women or men with large breasts tend to cast a "shadow" over the heart when the nuclear test is being read. Typically this occurs over the front or anterior part of the heart.  This shadow is called attenuation and is not related to decreased blood flow.
