Any Thoughts?

I am a 27-year old male.  After a b-ball game, I felt pressure in my head and on my neck and I was breathing hard.  I went home and hyperventilated, began shivering tremendously and got tingling in my extremities.  I was sick for four days.  I thought dehydration, so when I got better, I went to play b-ball again after drinking water all day.  Same thing happened.  I went to the ER and an ECG, chest x-ray, blood work and urine test were all negative.  It is now four weeks, another ER visit, four doctors and many blood tests later and I still have very weird symptoms and nobody knows why.  My neck is sensitive, I have a headache all day, my muscles and joints hurt, I have a constant feeling of tightness on the top of my left foot, my wrist joints and forearms, as well as my mouth area fall asleep themselves when I fall asleep, my GI system is messed up, I get the chills and I am having premature heartbeats.  I suspected lyme because I hiked in Maine shortly before all this. I am on doxycycline (lyme titer came back negative though).  I am EXTREMELY nervous about the heartbeats.  My ECG is normal and my echo showed a slight MVP.  A Holter confirmed premature beats.  I have never had these before though and I don't even know if I had MVP before (nobody ever mentioned a murmer to me until last month).  My EEG was slightly abnormal, but a brain MRI with contrast was fine.  I am in good shape (no smoking, caffeine or alcohol).  Do I have lyme, endocarditis, a strange virus, can I drop dead with these palpitations?  This sickness is a very scary feeling.  Please help me!!

Dear jlozner,
Lyme disease can cause some heart rhythm disturbances but it would be much less likely if the lyme titer came back negative.  Many people have PVCs and PACs and these are not deadly rhythms.  I'm not sure what is causing your symptoms but I would recommend seeing a good internal medicine doctor to start to try to make a diagnosis.  Good luck.

What other symtoms do you have?  how is your bowel movements?I
went to maine a little over a year ago and got sick.. with similiar symptoms as you. But I had diarreha for a couple of week. They said I ate or drank something while there. Anyway, Im not convinced with there dignosis and since I kept going back and to the ER 1 time they diagnosed me with anxiety.....

It probably is anxiety.  Your obsession with what could be happening to you could very well be bringing on your symptoms...I know because I suffer in a very similar way.

I suffer from panic disorder and more recently been diagnised with pvc's and pac's which are frightening...
I get and have had every symptom you have described with panic/and anxiety...
make sure you do get a lyme test..I had one done by a dermatologist...
hang in there and I hope you get some answers...
