This past weekend i had to be rushed to the hospital because my heart rate was 180. I have had svt for the past 15 years and usually can stop it on my own. I went to the hospital and they said it was a-fib. Is a-fib and svt hand in hand or did my svt turn into a-fib? They also put me on a medication called Diltiazem. Will that control the episodes and make it not come back?

I don’t think any doctor or us here can say it won’t come back. Best you can do fallow the treatment plan. Take the pills and have a perfect lifestyle. Enough sleep, the right food. No drink etc. Sometimes I think you young people are lucky to have a little problem earlier so you are more careful with everything and that is warranty for your  long life.
My best.
