Aortic Insufficiency

My Physician recently discontinued my Procardia XL 60mg and returned me to Monopril 10mg.  We did not taper off the Procardia and within a two days, I began having very strong headaches upon exertion or stress.  I have had three of these headaches.  On Thrusday, he added Toprol 50mg.

I have not had a headache sense, but have made sure I do not get stressed or over exert myself.  I have never had these types of headaches before.  Could they result from the sudden stoppage of the Procardia... and if so how long before my body adjusts?

Thanks.

It is not from stopping the Procardia but it is possible that the procardia was preventing the headaches.  Procardia is sometimes used to prevent migraine headaches.  Interestingly enough toprol may also have preventive properties as well.
