Aortic root size down

I am 28, and have been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve since I was 5. My valve is fine, leaky, but no stenosis. The leak is now enlarging my arotic root...it's at about 3.7 cm now. My cardiologist has put me on Cozaar to try to keep this root size. I don't like being on this medication at all...and I am planning a pregnancy in about a year. Does anyone have any experience with being pregnant with an enlarged root and/or surgery on the root before/after pregnancy? What about going off the Cozaar...

I am 29 and also contemplating getting pregnant. I also have been diagnosed with an enlarged ascending aorta. It went from 3.7cm in Oct. '06 to 4.0 cm Aug '07. I also have mild to moderate aortic regurg. It is not clear whether my aortic valve is bicuspid. I currently take Metopropol and a diuretic for HBP which was diagnosed before any of the other conditions. I am wondering what the risks would be if I were to get pregnant. I am having a MRI in a few weeks to better look at the size of my ascending aorta, and aortic root.
