Are there any arrhythmias that last a few seconds?

I was wondering if there are any arrhythmias dangerous or benign that last 8-12 seconds, they come in episodes once every couple of months. they feel like your heart is jumping around and than a big pause like 5 second pause. it feels very scary and dangerous, I have PVC everyday but these wierd episodes feel like death. can it be VTACH or V FIB? i have done 2 echos, 2 EKGs, 3 holtor events and monitors, treadmill test all was normal.

There are plenty of arrhythmias that are short bursts like that. Most are very benign and annoying. I have PSVT, an atrial tachy, and most of mine are very brief. Then again, I've had work done on my heart to fix the tachy which used to run 30-45 minutes at a time. There are runs of PVC's that will do that. They feel uncomfortable, get your attention but generally don't lead to anything if your heart is in good condition otherwise.

You've had all the tests done and you've received positive reports. That's good. If these episodes only happen rarely as you said, then just wait them out, grumble under your breath a bit :-) and then go about your business when they're done.

If things change and you have them more frequently, have chest pain or trouble breathing, check back in with your doctor.

Yes arrhythmias can last foronly a few seconds; for the most part it takes longer than that amount of time to be serious in any way. If your heart is normal, it certainly sounds that way with you, you probably don't have too much to worry about.
