Artificial Sweeteners and Heart Problems

by foreverafl, Mar 06, 2008 04:57PM
A few years ago, I read an article that stated there was new research that indicated artificial sweeteners may cause heart problems. Is this true? Is there any research that indicates any relation between diabetics that use artificial sweeteners and heart problems.

I don't know about heart disease, but Splenda for example can cause anxiety.  Go to Google and type in the names of the artificial sweeteners and type "side effects" next to the name of the artificial sweetener, and you will read all kind of side effects, but I never read that they can cause heart problems.
