Atrial Fibrillation and Ablation

by csr2009a, Jul 14, 2009 02:12PM
I had a stroke 5 yrs ago and have suffered with Atrial Fibrillation since the stroke. The Atrial Fibrillation has become worse over the past 5 years, now the other day my cardiologist told me that they may have to do an ablation on me, that he needed to talk with my A-fib specialist first, he really didnt go into any type of detail about the surgery, can anyone that has suffered with atrial fibrillation and then had an ablation done tell me just what to expect and how this ablation has helped and any side affects they have experienced, and how long they were down from the surgery.
