Can you please explain what types of atrial flutter can be corrected with catheter ablation?
Thanks

Dear Vesna,
This question is unanswerable except on a very general basis, i.e. some atrial flutters are ablatable and some not, based mostly on where and how the rhythm maps out in the heart.  Also, ablation is not the first step in the treatment of  atrial flutter (as you may well know.)
So, your electrophysiologist is the person to ask this question, i.e. the one who has knowledge of your ecg, the likely pathway of the atrial flutter, etc.
I hope you find this information useful. Information provided in the heart forum is for general
purposes only. Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to
write back with additional questions. Good luck.
