  My friend has been told that he has left axis deviation of -48degree.

Is there anything that my friend should do?
A:  Axis of the heart refers to the pattern of electrical activation of the heart.  This is measured using the ECG.  A left axis deviation may be due to a variety of things including:
Normal varient, electrical block, enlargement of the heart, previous heart injury.  There is no specific treatment for an axis deviation but the underlying condition (if present) may reequire therapy.
