Thank you so much for posting this information for me. You and Brooke have enlightened me, and I am really grateful to you.
So you and my mom both are connected with a wonderful organization. You will be in my thoughts and in my prayers.
Regards,
Bev
Hi Brooke. How are you doing? I hope that you and your family have found peace, and are doing well. Regards, Steve
Bev- Thanks for the note...I left you a note too!
Steve- Thanks for filling in what I left out:) Also, thanks for the prayers you sent for my brother and family!
I am very sorry to hear of your mother's condition. I hope that she is as comfortable as is possible. Just to add a bit to Brooke's post, a BNP under 100 is normal, 300 is mild, 600 moderate and 900 severe. I was admitted to hosp in dec '07 with a BNP of 1094. I wish you well, Steve
A BNP test measures the amount of the BNP hormone in your blood. BNP is made by your heart and indicates how well your heart is working. Normally, only a low amount of BNP is found in your blood. When your heart is working harder than usual over a long period of time, such as from heart failure, the heart releases more BNP, increasing the blood level of BNP. The BNP level will drop when treatment for heart failure is working
Normal values of BNP vary widely among labs and depend on the method used for measurement.
*0-99 (ng/L) SI units. No heart failure is present.
I hope this sheds light on your questions.
