Hi. I don't know if this helps, because it probably would be determined by all factorsFactor ix complex and symptoms. I was admitted to ER in Dec/07 for ab pain, and they found my BNP to be 1072. This sent up majorMajor tears Major-gesic league flags as to my being cleared for Gall bladder removal surgery. After 12 days in hosp, and new dx (for me) of severe heart failure, I was sent home and final blood test showed a BNP of 676. They still sent me home.
For a reference; BNP level of 0-100 is considered normalNormal saline flush. >300 mild heart failure. >600 moderate HF, and > 900 severe.
Hope this helps somewhat and good luck. - Steve
