Hi my name is Ellie
I need help with my blood pressure.
I have very high blood pressure for four years now.
And I been on all kinds of medicine. But noting helps!!
Its haves been as high as 220/145 It is up and down all day and night.
They   tell me it is very rare. And not to many people know abount it. I am only 55 yrs old ISs there A research or any one can me?
I have E-Mail orther but no one have replyed.Please can you HELP me.

Thanks for the post.

It's hard to tell from the broken verbage, but I think you are saying that you experience drastic extremes of blood pressure and that this is possibly due to "baroreceptor dysfunction"?

This condition is also called hyperadrenergic orthostatic hypotension, baroreflex failure, or autonomic dysfunction.  It is a rare cause of secondary hypertension, but certainly exists.  Treatment options are usually different than the options used for most patients with essential hypertension.  Clonidine is often a first-line drug for some, but needs to be chosen on a case-by-case basis.

Expert guidance at a large center needs to be pursued.  The Cleveland Clinic and the Mayo Clinic have expertise in this area, but so do numerous other centers depending on your geographic location.
