Benicar HCT Side Effects

I have high bp, and am taking Benicar HCT. It is doing a pretty good job on my blood pressure, but I have started to develop side effects. I took it for 6 months, and then went about a month without it. I started back up again about 20 days ago, and for the past 2 weeks, I have felt a little weird. I get a slight dizzyness feeling, along with the occasional head rush. It's not constant, but enough to bother me.
My question is, is it possible to develop side effects after all this time? Did my 1 month layoff have something to do with it?
