In the setting of a structually normal heart, benign extra beats are not life threatening. They just feel really weird : )
You're welcome.
Have a great day!
Thanks for the info my doctor does not seem to concerned over the short runs he understands what I described and said after the holter he did not feel further testing was necessary . Are these life threatning? My heart rate is usually around 68 and I have normal blood pressure. Its just scary sometimes when I feel them. (the fast beats)
Sometimes when I get a string of pvcs, that's what it feels like.
Some doctors will prescribe an event monitor so that the patient can "capture" the rhythm on a monitor. It is kind of like a holter, but you can wear it for much longer. You press a "record" button when you feel the peculiar rhythm and they you transmit the recording over the phone lines. It kind be very helpful to people who need extra reassurance or just want to be sure the doctor understands what they are describing.

Hello, I don't know if this is the same as me, but sounds like what I get sometimes, and they told me it was short runs of Supraventricular Tachycardia, but you might need to have a 30 day event monitor on, to catch them so he can see it. Good luck, Michelle
