Beta Blockers and Asthma Meds

Posted By Lynn*E on August 02, 1998 at 20:03:25:

I am a 36 year old female. I have had PVC's for the past two years.  I have stopped caffiene products,
do not smoke and do not drink.  I have Cough Variant Asthma (just diagnosed
2 years ago) and use two meds--Flovent 110 inhaler 2puffs 2 times a day and Albuterol inhaler
as needed.  The PVC's do get worse depending on other meds I might be taking
such as Entex or of all things, Pepcid.  My Dr. (an internist) does not want to
put me on Beta Blockers because he says that they interfere with the asthma
meds.  Is this true?  I would like to be informed the next time I see him.
Thanks so much
Lynn
