My 49 year old son has glioblastoma stage 4. Has had two brain tumors with surgery, radiation and chemo. Now has a third tumor with only chemo. A week ago he suffered a stroke, paralyzing left side. Then had left leg full of blood clots. Two days ago it was discovered he has a fairly large blood clot in his heart. He is being treated with blood thinners. He is lucid and can talk off and on, sits up to eat, etc. He was just starting therapy and had to stop because of the blood clots. He was very disappointed. Is there anything at all that can be done except blood thinners? I know this is serious. How much of a chance does he have getting over everything? He has had a very positive attitude through these 3 years that he has been sick.
