Blood Pressure med question

I recently had a routine stress test for my pvc's,  for some reason everytime I walk into my cardiologist's office I have a panic attack, so as I do every year I got on the treadmill and my theart rate was already 135 and bp 140/90,   I did the 9 minutes my heart rate levelled out but my blood pressure went through the roof 208/100.   Before the test my cardiologist threatened if my blood pressure went high he would medicate me,    

I was given 50mg of cozaar, I have not started it yet, I have concerns

So my question,  at home I check my blood pressure all day,  in the morning and when I am relaxing my BP is 98/59   when I am running after the kids my bp is max 129/80.   When I see my GP it usually is 130/80 because I get nervous with dr's

My pulse is approx 78.  Resting is 68

Isn't my normal BP too low to take bp meds?   I am afraid of the lite headed feeling when you have to get up and with 3 little kids I am always jumping up for something.

I'm in the same boat, I tend to have White Coat Syndrome which means my blood pressure is much higher when visiting a doctor. At home I average 108/65. I am also on Benicar HCT for HBP. My cardiologist explained to me that the fact I tend to get high blood pressure under stress as when I'm at a doctor's office, I am most likely also having it when I get stressed at worked or elsewhere and the meds will help keep it under control at all times.
