Blood pressure of 145/85: necessary to lower?
I'm a 66 yr. old woman and my blood pressure is 145/85.  I exercise for an hour twice a week and walk 1/2 hour every day.  Do I need to take medication to lower the blood pressure.  My doctor does not think so, but I'm concerned.  My HDL cholesterol is 91, the LDL is 101.7 total cholesterol is:  210.3.  Triglycerides are 79.  Does cholesterol have to be lowered with pills?
