  I was wondering if it would be theoretically possible to artificially reproduce blood???

Dear Matthew,
Indeed, multiple institutions and corporations have been carefully studying just this question.  After all, artificially produced blood would be theoretically plentiful, inexpensive, and free of infectious agents.  
There are many challenges with making such a substance, although I am aware that several agents are now undergoing testing.   As with most things in nature, it is proving quite difficult to improve on the original.
