Breaking 5 mg.Bystolic pills in 1/4

i was put on 5 mg Bystolic but it was too strong so dr said go to 1 half a pill i still thought that was to strong so i went to 1/4 a pill it is very hard to get 1/4 a pill to be tths same every time..and i have been feeling very odd,dizziness worse anxiety.back pain im taking it for fast heartrate spoke to nurse and she said to go back to 1/2 a pill,i had told her ow my heartrate was doing all kinds of wierd things and that sometimes i also take a 1/4 pill in the morning she said not to do that becauce it needas to be steadt state levels and i may be causing more problems anyone else know About this med im kind of afraid of it
