Breathlessness

My Dad had an operation around 3-4 months ago. He had 2 stents implanted. Now he is complaining about breathlessness. The doctor has prescribed flavedon mr 35 tablets. What is this tablet for?

Is Out of breath during sleep a serious condition. When he sits he doesnt complain of being out of breath.

Can you advice. Is there anything serious to worry about.

You seem to keep mentioning vitamin E, but I have to ask if you've read the recent Japanese research on this which suggests taking supplements of vitamin E will interfere with natural bone health?

It could be a number of things...clots in the lungs to stent clogging up...have him try Dr. Strauss Heart Drops to keep his stent clean. Do not take if he's on blood thinners (most likely he is on them)

Check with his doc if it's ok to take vitamin E mixed, 400mg per day. It takes care of clots very well. Again do not take if on blood thinners...

Shouldnt this be taken care of when they performed the stenting...

The medication improves the functionality of the heart muscle. It basically works by getting the heart to utilize glucose more efficiently which eases angina, of which shortness of breath is a symptom of. If the shortness of breath when laying down only began after stenting, then perhaps the cardiologists should take another look at the angioplasty images to see if there are any other problems (blockages) which can be causing this.
