Buzzing/vibration sensation

Im a 26yr old female, 65kgs, 5ft 6'. Approx 4 years ago i was diagnosed with anxiety. my symptoms came out of the blue and consisted of severe dizzy spells, shaking, burning sensations in limbs, hot and cold feelings, feelings of heart skipping beats, fast pulse, . I never thought of myself as an anxious person before this but anxiety does run in my family. Sometimes i still dont think i have it. Over the last 3 - 4 weeks i have been feeling buzzing / vibrating sensations which feel like they are coming from within my body, eg. i do not visibly shake if i hold my arms astretch, well no more than normal. I am really worried that this could be an onset of something more serious like MS and that all my ''anxiety'' symptoms have just been the early signs of the disese (disease) as they are very similar symtoms to anxiety.
please help.

I am not sure that symptoms are consisent with MS, it has been a while for me since I dealt with MS patients, however, I do know that conditions such as tachycardia can cause this occasionally.  I would recommend that you see a cardiologist who should order an event monitor.  This device will record your heart rate and rhythm during one of those episodes to ensure that those symptoms are not heart related.

Hi.  You have the exact same symptoms I do.  I've had this weird vibration/shaking for a few months now.  I've had all the tests and they all came back negative...so they fell back to the default anxiety diagnosis.  Anxiety also runs in my family, but there is something definitely different with my heart.  I've had plenty of panic attacks and I know it's something else.

Do you have an unsteady heartbeat?  Mine is all over the place.  Few quick ones here and there, PVCs/PACs, tachycardia...

Hope you feel better.

Anxiety can definitely cause this buzzing sensation. It is not a panic attack but happens when you are anxious over a sustained period.
You have anxiety and have a symptom of anxiety. Try to get the thought of MS out of your head.
Are you waking early? Obsessing?

Good luck.

I have been extremely anxious since September.  I had the buzzing happen tonight for about five minutes in a patch on my chest.  Like the previous person, I fear MS,

You could try visiting the anxiety board as they are very helpful with anxiety problems. Buzzing is a very common symptom. Life can be miserable when you're living with anxiety, worse than if you actually did have an "organic" disease. It is worth dealing with it.
Get a doctor to check you over then believe what they say, trust their diagnosis and get on with your life.

I suggest first being the abnormal heart rate sensation that you see a cardiologist. As far as the buzzing/vibration etc., I have MS and that is one of the many signs that accompany it. There is a yahoo group www.***@****. The only real way to know if you have MS is by a brain/c-spine MRI with contrast. Good luck. Anxiety can cause a lot of symptoms but not knowing what the cause, you really should get these symptoms checked out.
