Bypass using arteries vrs veins

Bypass using arteries vrs veins

What is the plusses and minuses of having a bypass using an artery from the arm and mammary artery versus using a vein from the leg and mammary artery for the procedure?
Are there any studies available on its effectiveness? What is CC doing?
Dear Rob
If possible, use of arterial grafts is better than veins. This of course depends on the arteries being large enough to use in the first place. It also depends on whether your hand has good circulation and can tolerate the loss of an artery. The arteries tend to last longer than the veins.
