CHEST PAIN

HELLO......well 2 weeks back ,i had a very bad chest  pain, so much that it was difficult for me to stay calm during ECG. MY  PULSE that time was 130 per min, but my ECG report was ok, can u tell me what must have happned? i have high BP ALSO.

If the heart rate is more than 100 during an EKG (without exertion) the print out of results should have read abnormal!  It wouldn't  indicate a heart problem, but it should alert the doctor of sinus tachycardia, etc....and the doctor would assess whether there is a heart problem or not based on other tests, symptoms and signs.

To evaluate your medical condition relative to chest pains may require a stress test to rule out any blocked vessels...EKG is not a reliable source for occluded vessels.  With high blood pressure, the result over time can cause vessels to occlude so BP should be controlled with medication.

THANK YOU.......YOU R RIGHT SIR, ....... I WAS ADVISED  TO DO FEW TESTS....  REST ALL REPORT  IS NORMAL EXCEPT, THAT MY...DIRECT LDL-C ESTIMATION IS HIGH...137mg,      SERUM cholesterol is 209mg,        haemoglobin,11.80.... MCH-24.79 LOW. Now also i am having a slight chest pain so could not go to work.. PLEASE ADVISE.....

I'm not able to advise, nor should anyone else, as medication or lack thereof requires some knowledge of your health history, symptoms, results of all tests, other medication, etc.

As previously stated your symptom of chest pain should be diagnosed to rule out any heart disorder. You are doing the right thing to get to the root of your chest pain.  Take care.
