CORONARY STENTS

Posted By Gabrielle on October 13, 1998 at 09:45:34:

My son was born with ToF and has had eight open-heart surgeries to repair...
He is now 19 years old.
His pulmonary and tricuspid are now metal  after failed homographic and pig implantations.  At last check his left coronary artery was found to be widening and his mitral valve is failing....
Doctors do not feel he would survive another open-heart surgery....
They are looking into placing a stent on the coronary artery via cath...
I am DESPERATE for information............I need to know if there is any hospital in the country that does this as a normal procedure
Please PLEASE PLEASE help us!!!!!
